Sports Chaplaincy Australia's training is recognised as a world leader. Our Level 2 Training is currently being applied by the Global Sports Chaplaincy Association as one of the key models for the development of sports chaplaincy training worldwide.

Level 1 – Basic Introduction to Sports Chaplaincy

Our Level 1 Training is free. It is a 2-3 hour presentation designed to give an introduction to sports chaplaincy as a way of serving the sports community. Participants are encouraged to identify whether community chaplaincy is an appropriate opportunity for them.

Level 2 - Certificate in Sports Chaplaincy

Our Level 2 Training is our primary training for those who are becoming sports chaplains. It includes 18 hours of delivered content (including a minimum of 14 hours face-to-face) along with additional reading and video presentations. The training includes instruction and role plays around certain skill sets, along with discussion and reflection.

Level 3 - Advanced Training in Sports Chaplaincy

Our Level 3 Training is primarily designed for existing sports chaplains to increase their skills and understanding. We provide regular training in Critical Incident Response due to the demand from sports communities for ClubCare Cover.
