Sports Chaplaincy Australia (SCA) was originally established in 1984. It was then known as Specialised Life-Orientated Ministries (SLM). In 1993 SLM was established as an Incorporated Association in NSW and soon after received Deductible Gift Recipient status from the ATO. After several transitions in ministry governance models, including a name change in the early 2000’s to Sports Chaplaincy Australia, the current Sports Chaplaincy Australia Limited became a national company limited by guarantee in 2024.
The Sports Chaplaincy Australia Limited National Board is committed to the highest levels of corporate governance and serves the organisation to ensure that its vision and strategies are effectively and responsibly delivered.
